Review and Giveaway: Fantasy Jewelry Box

I have had my eye on Fantasy Jewelry Box for a while now.  I just could not get over the prices.  With the jewelry as affordable as it is, I figured there must be something wrong with it.  Maybe it just didn't look very nice up and close, the metal could have been irritating, whatever.  I just could not believe that for what you pay, that you could get nice jewelry.  I was wrong.  Really wrong!

Joyce, at Fantasy Jewelry Box, was super nice about letting me work with Fantasy Jewelry Box and asked me what I would like to review.   What to know what I picked??  I chose Grace's Princess Cut Canary CZ Solitaire Pendant.

This gorgeous necklace is only $39.95.  Can you believe that??  A necklace that looks like this, is only $40!  Do you see why I didn't believe it at first??  And, it comes in an adorable little pink box, perfect for gift giving!

The canary yellow cubic zirconia pendant comes on a nice silver chain, which is 16 inches long, though you can order it longer if you wish.  The metal doesn't bother my skin, and no funky colors on the back of my neck either. =]  The pendant is so gorgeous, with great glittering facets, and held by 4 shiny silver prongs.

As soon as I opened the little pink box my necklace came in, I was squeeling like a little girl.  And, then, when I noticed Fantasy Jewelry Box has matching stud earrings that would perfectly with my necklace, I fell head over heels all over again.

The only negative thing I could possibly say about this necklace is that I am having a difficult time with the chain's clasp.  There is a small silver oval which bears the imprint "Italy" on it that is right where my thumb goes when pulling the hook on the clasp back.  I have short nails, so it is difficult to grab.  Besides that, there is nothing negative I can possibly say about Fantasy Jewelry Box.

The shipping was fast!  I put my order in on Monday, and recieved it on Friday.  I have been going crazy looking through this site.  I think you all know that I love vintage and antique everything.  Well, they even have a vintage inspired catagory!!

Review: PurePalette

Pure Palette carries a wide range of scented homemade candles.  They carry bakery scented candles, citrus scented candles, flower and fruit scented candles and even coffee scented candles.  Their candles are made out of natural soybean wax and burn clean with a burn time from anywhere of 20-25 hours.  Pure Palette candles are made by Pure Palette's owner, Usa.  Usa's candles are going to be featured in the Sacramento Wedding Magazine.

Usa sent me a Pineapple Scented Soybean Candle to review.  I was excited to review this, as I love candles.  You can ask my family, I own way too many candles.  I think I'm covered for at least 7 years with the amount I bought a few years back.  I just prefer candles over regular electrical lighting.  Anyways, the candle I recieved has a burn time of 20-25 hours and is only $6.  It comes in a cute brown carboard box with stickers on it declaring it comes from Pure Palette.

The Pure Palette candle I got smells so good!  I love the fact that it burns clean and evenly.  It comes in a small metal tin with a nice lid, and just like all candles, Pure Palette comes with warning labels.   Everyone should know not to burn candles around small children, let children burn candles on their own, or leave candles to burn on their own.  A candle should burn only when an adult is present to keep watch on the flame.  Do not burn a candle near anything flamable, and watch out with the flames when pets are near as well.

If you want to purchase your own Pure Palette candle, you can get them here.

Review: Water In The Sky jewelry

Water In The Sky is a little shop on Etsy.com that offers beautiful handmade jewelry pieces and gorgeous scarfs.  Beautiful earrings, pendants, and rings fill the shop.  Scarfs for the whole family in all arrangements of colors dot the pages of the online web shop.  Katelyn, the owner of Water In The Sky, both designs and makes every piece offered to customers.

Katelyn was nice enough to send me an item from her shop of my choice to review.  I chose the Dark Blue Ring in a size 6.

I really like this ring.  The bead on it is very intense, the color shows up wonderfully, and it goes great with my favorite pair of blue jeans.  Now, I asked for the ring to come in a size 6.  I used to wear a 6, so I figured I still did.  Then, the other day I got a ring for my birthday from my grandparents and I had to go get it sized.  Turns out, I wear close to a 6 1/2 now.  My point in mentioning this is because even though I asked for a 6 (a size too small for my finger, unbeknowest to me) it still fits comfortably, if not a bit too large.  So, if you really like this ring (which is only $10 + $2 S&H!) you should probably order it a bit smaller than what you normally wear.

Katelyn offers this ring in a number of wire colors.  They come in Silver, Black. Dark Purple, Gold, and Rustic Silver wire. You can also get the same styled ring with a different colored bead.

When I first got the ring, I was a bit worried that it would fall apart.  It didn't strike me as a very sturdy piece of jewelry.  But, upon further inspection, I decided it is in fact very sturdy.  Wire wraps around your finger in a series of 3 loops.  The band is not going to change shape unless some very drastic pressure hits it. The bead is securly wrapped as well, in an intricate loopy design that is very appealing to the eye.  In my opinion, the ring is well worth the price, only $10!

You can get your own here.  The rings can be made to fit any size finger.

WINNER

Aerial Designs giveaway has ended and random.org has just told me who the winner is!

Congrats Busy Working Mama!

I am just about to email you!  You will have 48 hours to respond to my email or a new winner will be chosen in your place.  Thanks to Aerial Designs for sponsoring the giveaway, and thanks to everyone who took the time to enter the giveaway!  If anyone has any questions, you can visit the FAQ page.

Furniture

Furniture can be a tricky thing to pick out.  It has to fit the room.  It has to be the right color.  It has to match the feel of the room.  And, you have to like the look of it.  It can be difficult to pick out the right furniture, isn't it?

Beds, couches, tables, chairs.. These are the main pieces of furniture everyone thinks about.  But, what about bathroom vanities?  You know, the counter that holds your bathroom sink; the one with cabinets on the bottom to hold everything you can possibly need?

bath vanity can really set the feel of a bathroom.  Whether that feel is modern, retro, antique, contemporary, or just cozy, the tone of any room comes from the largest attention grabber.  And, in the bathroom, that would be the bath vanity.

Some bathrooms even have bathroom Vanity Chairs!  So, there is another piece of furniture to think about.  Making a house comfortable is what makes it a home. By adding a beautiful bathroom vanity to your bathroom, you can transform your bathroom. It does not matter if your bathroom is small, big, or even if it as an attractive color on the walls. By adding a new bathroom vanity, you can really transform your bathroom from what it was, to what you want it to be.

**I received a small compensation for the advertisement in my post. Opinions are 100% mine unless otherwise stated.**

Cancer

Cancer.  Scary word, huh?  We all wish it never will happen to us and our loved ones.  But, we are only human and can get sick.  It's just life, as much as that really sucks.  And, we can't do a whole lot about it.

Lately, I've been noticing these buttons on a lot of blogs.  They say "Mission Monkey".  I had no clue what they meant.  I just see this adorable baby girl on the button and keep scrolling because I had no clue what what it was about.  But, then I was on Carrie's Rambles blog, and it explained why these buttons are all over the blogsphere.

This innocent, adorable little 16 month old baby girl is sick.  With cancer.  Every parent's worst nightmare.

When I was about 5 or 6 six years old, my cousin Renee died.  She was a mother of 4 and she died of cancer.  Not the same type of cancer this child now has, mind you.  But, she was sick as well.  Being I was so young at the time, I can't remember her now.  But, I have watched her kids, my older cousins, grow up without her.  I watched how it affected my aunt and uncle (her parents, their only child), and how her husband raised their kids on his own.

I don't want to see this family go through that.  And, I know you guys don't either.  I figure, if I didn't know what those buttons were for, then it might be that some of you guys didn't know either.  That's why I am writing this post.  To let you guys know that one of our fellow bloggers needs support.

Her own blog can be found here.  You can give her emotional support by writing her.  And, there is a PayPal link where you can donate any amount of money you can afford if you can.

I know a lot you bloggers are mothers.  While I myself am not a mother, I still know the pain of losing loved ones.  If you can, help this family out, whether emotionally or financially.  We all know that money holds no true value when it comes to our loved ones health, and treatments can be so expensive.

This is Monkey.  Isn't she beautiful?  She has neuroblastoma, a form of cancer.  I myself had never heard of the term before, so I looked it up.  By clicking the link you can read up a little on the illness.  Reading her mother's blog, Momma's Pixie Dreams, will put you in tears.  I myself can not stand by and see this happen.  I can't.

Bloggers, I propose something.  Why don't we get together and put on a giveaway?  Only people who donate can enter.  No limit on the amount though, because times are economically tough.  We can go through PayPal, and we can have a dollar amount goal.  Once the goal is reached, maybe we can toss more in.  What do you say?  If anyone wants to help me with this idea, please either leave me a message with your email address, or contact me through the contact form.

If this were you, you would not want to do this alone.  I would not want to do this alone.  So, how about we try to do this together?
