Feature and Giveaway: TheCollegeCloset

 TheCollegeCloset is an affordable and fashionable place to buy vintage styled clothing and accessories.   The inspired idea that started this shop was to create fashionable pieces that broke college students could wear and still look trendy.  The shop started when a friend called TheCollegeCloset owner up and asked what she was doing.  The responce was "cleaning out my overwhelming closet" and that there was "a ridiculous amount of clothing half of which I had no use for and had never even worn".  And so the idea was born..  An afforable yet trendy online garage sale of sorts where people could perchase clothing at ridiculously low prices.  Using previously made clothing, TheCollegeCloset adds a flair to the pieces, creating them into something unique and stylish. 

The owner of TheCollegeCloset says this about how she got started,

"at that point I realized this is everything I wanted to do this is everything I wanted to be. I want to make current fashion and the latest trends affordable for the typically broke college student. We began receiving clothing donations from friends and family who knew what we were trying to do. I began studying latest runway crazes and using that as inspiration to enhance the clothing we had. From adding certain embellishments, or sewing certain fabrics to add detail to an already existing piece we made our clothing as appealing as humanly possible. And, despite how cutting edge a piece may look or be, we still managed to retain a reasonable price for all our garments. We are a new company and our mission is always to continuously progress as well as to revolutionize the fashion industry by providing the same quality and style you can find in bebe, XXI and like stores for insanely low prices."

TheCollegeCloset is currently working on a men's clothing line and a vintage line.  Among there items, some of the most popular are military enhanced pieces and studded pieces, along with some of the more trendier evening wear the shop offers.
